Scholarship Description
As part of its support to educational development and human capacity building, Nigeria Agip Oil Company, operator of NNPC/NAOC Joint Venture awards annual scholarships to qualified students in Nigerian Universities.
Due to the just Concluded NAOC Scholarship test that was slated for May 11th 2013, NAOC wishes to reopen their portal for Students who were unable to apply in the recent just concluded NAOC Scholarship test. These group are known as the Batch B Candidates. Applicants of this group will be given the privilege to apply and also take their Scholarship Test Online via the NAOC Portal.
All applicants are advised to attempt all questions because these will be used as a Criteria for Awards.
It is important to note that application is open to candidates that are not currently on any award. If you applied to and was successful in the first part (i.e. Batch A Undergraduate Scholarships) of the Agip Oil Company awards earlier this year, do NOT apply for this one.

Eligibility
To be eligible:

  • Candidates must be holders of the SSCE or its equivalent with at least six subjects passed at a sitting with a minimum of 5 Distinctions. 
  • Applicants must be registered full-time undergraduates in their 1st or 2nd year of study in any Nigerian University. 
  • Students who are currently on similar scholarship awards from other oil and gas companies need not apply. 
  • Dependants of employees of Nigeria Agip Oil Company are not eligible for this scholarship.

 Selection Criteria:
Applications for NNPC/NAOC Undergraduate National Scholarship Awards are based on the following criteria:
Geographical Coverage - Awards will be made to qualified and suitable students from every state of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Eligible groups

Participating Institutions
All approved and accredited Nigerian tertiary institution(s)
Fields of study

NAOC has not made the value of this scholarship public, however you will required to submit your bank account details into which the awards will be paid in.
Method of Application
Are you qualified and interested? If you are, please note the following before you apply:
  •  Ensure you have clear scanned copies of all your documents.
  •  Ensure you name these scanned documents accordingly, to avoid mixing up documents during upload. 
  • Ensure you upload these documents carefully when asked to.

The documents you will need for this stage of application are as follows:

  1. Passport photograph with white background not more than 3 months old 
  2. School ID card 
  3. Admission letter 
  4. O’ level result 
  5. Relevant letters of identification

 Application Proper:
All applications and Scholarship Test will be taken Online via the official NAOC scholarship website. If you have the above-listed documents, you may then apply. To apply, click on “Apply Now" found on the official website (link to it is below), complete the form the shows up and submit as instructed.
DEADLINES:
Applications not received within 2 months of the Advertisement will not be accepted - this will be on or before 31st July 2013.
PLEASE NOTE:
You will be required to scan and upload original copies of the following documents for screening prior to taking the qualifying Test:

  1. Evidence of SSCE result or its equivalent 
  2. Evidence of admission into a Nigerian University 
  3. Evidence of current year of study 
  4. Current University Identity Card 
  5. Current Passport Photographs 
  6. Evidence of State of Origin obtained from the appropriate Local Government Area and duly signed by the Chairman or Secretary

Names of Successful candidates of the Online Test will be published on the official NAOC website and also be contacted via Email and SMS.
Applicants are advised to ensure that their Mobile Numbers and personal Email Addresses are entered correctly during Application process.
