FOCUS: Achieving the Best: Our Part, God's Promises
Text: Daniel 1:8; Psalm 75: 6,7
Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in day out. The best way to finish an unpleasant task is to get it started. Success is connected to action. Commitment to your studies, is a line you must cross!...It is the difference between dreaming and doing.
The greatest barrier to success is the fear of failure.
Achieving the Best ==> is simple!.. Do what is right, the right way at the right time.
KEYS TO SUCCESS
- Believe while others are doubting (you can be the best!, self-motivation is essential so much as taking your bath daily is necessary for good health!)
- Plan while others are playing (plan your reading now!, "it is when the well is dry that we know the price of water". act now!)
- Study while others are sleeping
- Decide while others are delaying
- Prepare while others are daydreaming
- Begin while others procrastinating
- Work while others are loafing/wishing
- Save while others are wasting
- Listen while others are talking (most importantly during lectures)
- Smile while others are frowning
- Concentrate while others are travelling
- Persist while others are quitting
|The most important key-- Job 22 verse 30; that is, be Righteous while others are religious.
|The purpose of life is a life of purpose.

SUCCESS GUIDELINES
- The indispensable first step to achieving the best academically is this: Decide what you want!
- Plan your work/study: After you have the understanding of what you and what needs to be done; plan- plan for everything and if some unexpected occurs, find a way to make it fit into your plans.
- Do not make failure an option, prepare yourself for success. Develop the right mindset, it makes the path to success much easier.
- Set goals (Smart Goals): Goals gives you direction and help measure your progress; measuring your progress will raise your motivation, as you begin to see that you are working towards the completion of your work.
- The last and not the least; Learn from others. We at one point or the other make mistakes- the best thing is to learn from them and not repeat same.
